2018 Wasn’t It 🙄😅 … But 2019? Year of the Reset

When I tell ya’ll I am so glad 2018 is over, I can’t make it up! It’s been one hell of a year from school, to family drama, to relationships, to friendships, down to just my peace of mind. Here’s what happened in 2018:

  • Continued to grow in my relationship with God
  • we moved from the house I spent my whole life in to the country
  • attended summer school
  • received a new car
  • was able to witness my niece’s first year in the world
  • started my own organization

Before I get into my 2019 resolutions, let me update you on the 2018 ones. I sucked at meeting them 😅🤦🏽‍♀️😂 My relationship with my boyfriend came to an end, nowhere near my 3.0 mark, still spending money like it grows on trees, barely opened a book, and probably gained the amount of pounds I was supposed to lose. So to sum it up “#EpicFail!” I think I expected too much out of myself with all the resolutions, I mean I had 11 of them. So I’ve decided to attempt to shrink the list:

  1. Continue the growth on my relationship with God: let’s be honest, without Him I won’t get far
  2. GRADUATE!!! (05.15.19 🎓🎊🍾)
  3. Get healthy: I’m getting lazy so I need to get right. Whether that be my working out, eating better, meditate, etc. Something has to give.
  4. Set my boundaries and continue to worry less on the things I can’t control and more on the things I can control: “trust in God with all heart, lean not on your own understanding” – Proverbs 3:5
  5. Continue to work on #riseofRosier and then some: writing has always been my gift, and I need to stop letting it go to waste
  6. Just work on being happy and content with my life: it’s my life, no one else’s and I have to remember that

Man oh man, I didn’t think I was going to make it ya’ll. Wanted to call it quits many times, but God said otherwise. 2018 wasn’t it for a lot people, but WE MADE IT! Whatever happened in 2018, leave it there. It’s a new day, a new year, a chance to RESET, as Pastor Gray said. You didn’t make it this far for no reason, God still has other plans for you, including myself. Remember that. Just breathe.

After the crazy year I’ve had, I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store for me and my loved ones. Stay humble and be blessed.
