I’m not telling y’all what to do. Maybe just a strong suggestion. But, if you are not physically disabled , pregnant, have your hands full or injured PLEASE DO NOT use the elevator or press the buttons that open the doors. I could even suggest this for faculty, but since they’re authority; I’ll let them slide. I don’t think people realize when you use these things and don’t need to, you overwork it, causing the batteries to wear down & other parts to malfunction. Therefore causing the people who really do need it to struggle even more. If you really think about it. The time it takes for the elevator to come full circle to the floor you’re on, you could already be at your destination. When it comes to that button. I have literally witnessed people press the button, and walk through the doors with nothing in their hands. Please don’t get me started on the people who proceeds to walk through the door after someone *coughs me* has pressed the button for them. Or what about the people, especially the males who are all stuffed on an elevator and see someone who is in actual need of it, to just look at them as the door closes instead of doing the humane thing and getting off for them to get on.
All I’m asking is that you think twice before you do these things. Is going up a flight of stairs or pulling/pushing a door open really that hard? #FoodforThought #DontBeLazy #BeMoreConsiderate
