#PrayforManchester

“Life is short, you never know when your time may be up. That’s exactly why I make it my business to reach out to people and let them know that I love them any chance I get.”

I said these words in a status I posted on Facebook a day or so after Omar Mateen shot up the gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The whole tragedy hit home for me, but let me tell you guys in a secret. Anything bad that happens in this world, hurts me. That being said, the bombing in Manchester, England was far from an exception.

Hundreds, maybe even thousands of people from a variety of ages expecting to attend, have a good time, and head back home ready to share yet another memory for the books. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out like that at all. As a result of a selfish, non-caring individual who decides to set off a bomb killing 22 and injuring at least 59 others. None of those people asked for that. It’s saddens me who messed up our world is. The saying is true, one rotten person can ruin it for everyone. It’s an unsettling feeling that whenever I leave my house, it may be the last time I leave it. Or that I never know when the last time it’ll be before I speak to a loved one.

It’s during situations like these that you see everyone come together. They come together for prayers and to help out in any way that they can. However, we need to be coming together all the time, not just when tragedy hits.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that was effected by the bombing. I pray that the correct actions are taken place to avoid for such a thing to happen again.
