Time

Time is valuable. My time is always being wasted. There’s not enough time in the day.

These are just an overview of statements we all may hear on a regular basis. Truth speaks in each statement. Especially if you’re a student, parent, or work a high paying job. There really isn’t enough time in a day to get every thing on your checklist done. Well, that’s if you want to sleep. However; saying I didn’t have enough is also an excuse. I am a strong believer in you make time for the people and things that you choose to make time for. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve used the excuse myself but as I’ve gotten older, I try to steer away from it.

Social media is the main reason why I don’t accept it. Think about it. If someone has time to tweet, post a picture on Instagram, share posts on Facebook, and be on Snapchat most of the day then they have time to reach out to you in some shape or form. Now if you’re feeling a certain way towards the person, that’s a whole different thing.

When you’re close with someone rather that be: as friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc and the moment you stop communicating you’ve somehow wasted time with them. STOP THAT! I get that you may be upset with them or the relationship fell off in a way that you didn’t expect. Those moments that you were always together, the time was worth it. God forbid something bad happens to them, you’ll then be reminiscing about those times. Don’t let the anger you have for another, allow your mouth to speak false statements.

Life is too short. People are leaving here left and right. You have to cherish every second with your loved ones. They can be here today and gone tomorrow. Do you really want to be beating yourself up because you told them you would come see or call them, but you didn’t as a result of the “time” you didn’t have, but really did have?

Right now. I give you a challenge: give someone you’ve promised time to that time today. I guarantee that every second will be worth it.
